Anyone know anything about mold?

I just looked in my shed outside and with all this rain the treated floor is breaking apart and there is a lot of mold on the wood. I haven't been in it since the summer.

My lawnmower had basically fallen through the floor. From what I know about mold it's bad.

Just curious if anyone actually has experience with mold in this type of situation and what is the best way to handle it?

I need to replace the floor, just wondering if a basic N95 respirator will be sufficient?

Thanks.

If you hose it down and take everything out in big chunks you'll be fine. It's just like asbestos, if you don't distrurb it and create dust it won't harm you... Plus you need a lot more than a sheds worth to harm you... Unless you live in the north west where it rains so much that you breate it for a very long time... I wouldn't worry about it.

Plus if there is some you can't remove just scrub it with bleach and spray KILZ on it and you're golden.

Burn the shed down and all will be fine...in all seriousness, probably not dangerous. Wear a particulate dust mask and remove the bad planks. More than likely just an allergen. Most mold I deal with in houses with moisture damage is not toxic. I am a wood flooring subcontractor and come across quite a bit on a monthly basis. If it were inside the house I would be more concerned on the safe removal.

Scrub it with bleach and then rip out whatever you are going to replace.
