Another AZ newbie

Well we are still shopping actually, but I joined to ask some questions about insurance costs in AZ, registration, and some safety stuff.

Got the registration stuff figured out I think, but still looking to see what people are spending for insurance on the street legal rhinos.

We are thinking a rhino with rear seat and cage is a good alternative to quads since we have a 2 yo and plan to have one more. They won't be able to do much for quite awhile so I'm hoping there is a good safe way to strap kids in car seats for some easy rides. Any advice here?

For those of you that haul in a toy hauler, what is the smallest you can get away with to fit a rhino. I've only got a half ton so I have to be careful of towing. I'm hoping a 21ft hauler will work.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll have lots of other questions along the way. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics of a new ride pretty quick.

Thanks for any advice,
Kevin

My insurance is a couple hundred a year +/-. With my cage and the Long Travel, mine fits in my 21' Attitude Hauler with gear and camping stuff. But nothing else. I haul my Raptor in the back of the truck. Good Luck on your search, there are some good deals out there.

Welcome to the forum!
Here is a link to our gallery where you can see just some of the cars we have taken part in.

For the little ones you will use the same as what you use in your car or truck. Baby seat booster etc.

I carry my Rhinoo in my WW fk2100 without a problem and also tow it with a half ton.

Thanks. I am still kind of debating on what to do. I am also kicking around the idea of just getting a 6x10 or something like that to haul for the day rides and then renting a toy hauler for the camping trips.

Any advice on what to look for when looking at used rhinos?

I would if I knew anybody that knows about them.

I was hoping there was a typical list of stuff to watch for. I have found a few that look pretty decent on CL but once you get there who knows. I don't want to get distracted by shiny wheels and that stuff.

I'm amazed at how many people from Gilbert I see on this forum.

Do you guys ever get together and take the rhinos out to a sonic or anything. I guess not everybody is street legal though.

For the kiddies... I strap mine in with the simpson car seats. They're just graco baby seats with simpson logos but they have big bolsters on the each sided of the head for neck support. My daughter was about 1 the first time she went to box canyon in the rhino and she was so comfy she slept most of the time.
