Hello fellow Rhino owners, I am a new member and I am having a problem with my 2005 Rhino 660 overheating and being hard to start in warm and hot conditions. This is an on going problem and has stranded me on several occassions. I had my valves adj. by dealer this year, but did not help problem. I suspect an air intake heat soaking problem due to air intake box being located on top of engine. This problem was corrected on the new models with a change in location to forward front away from heat sorce. Does anyone else have this problem? I asked about a retrofit kit to change location to current models, and dealer was unaware of any at present time. Could it possibly be fuel or vapor lock problem?

Most likely not the air filter location. If you have aftermarket CDI change that to stock to test. Change fuel filter and check fuel pump. My brother had simular problems and he had both a bad fuel pump and a bad CDI. The fuel pump caused him to be stranded and the CDI caused the rhino to stop and start while he was driving
