Gold or white?????

I'm running 28" Zillas on a stock Rhino 700.Asking around on which clutch spring to use,I was told to use the white for the type of riding I do.Which is mostly tight trail/muddy conditions.Well, this past weekend I was pulled out by a nice fella who also has a 700 Rhino, and he told me to run the gold spring with Hunterworks greaseless weights with the msd.Is anyone else doing this?If so,how do you like it?

The white the stiffest spring EPI makes, You WILL lose some top speed if your engine is essentially stock but I am going to guess and say that with 28'' tall mud tires your not concerned with top speed anyway.

With the stiffer spring you are essentially moving the rpm higher before the sheave begins to/is closed.

Gold is enough....I run a Gold in mine with 31s and some engine work..the white actually seemed to hurt me.

So,I should definately go with weights and the gold spring ? If 16g-18g are recommended, how does that work ?What advantage do I have with lighter weight vs heavier ? The problem I'm having is not enough torque/power to turn the wheels when they're in the mud.The RPM's are reving high, but wheels are bareley turning.Top end is not a concern.Only low to mid.

I just got my gold spring and Hunterworks 18g greaseless slider weights yesterday, im running 27" mudbugs and im like you, mostly mud and muskeg, although my tires are alot lighter then yours. I will install these tomorrow and go for a rip, see how good this setup is. Currently doing fairly well with just adding a CDI, hope these make a difference, have to beat the father in law up in the muskeg holes of northern Alberta. Ill let you know how they do. The best part, complete setup from Hunterworks only $130 shipped to Alberta Canada. Cant complain about that!

I also run 28" zillas jdubb, and usually run in low gear through the muskeg and the mud flys. in high she somethimes has trouble pushing through. I'd love to hear the results of your clutch work before i start ordering parts, i'd never go any smaller then 28's i love em the ground clearance is great and bite is awsome i just need a lil more snort.

Im running the 30s and plan on a clutch upgrade soon. I was in the thick gumbo this weekend and the tires were turning pretty good. Now i will admit i wasnt lighting them up and cleaning them like the rzrs but i was holding my own.
