Mormon Lake July 4th

Is anyone planning on meeting up at Mormon Lake again like we did last year. We will be at the same spot in front of the store where rhinoforum peeps parked last time for the fireworks.

We will probably be there as well. I know for sure we are going to be camping nearby and riding in the parade at Munds Park. Pretty sure I can talk the rest of the clan into going to watch the fireworks show.

We'll probably be watching the parade at Munds Park also and then back to Mormon for the fireworks. Last year Mormon was pretty packed with the cancellation of fireworks in Flagstaff. We could caution tape the side of the pavement in front of our camp again for UTV parking. We kind of did a meet and greet there because our camp was 50 yards from the store/bar and was a perfect spot for the show.

Was taking the family up to Blue Ridge Resivoir, but hell... sounds like this might be more enjoyable for the kiddos. So camping is at or around Morman lake, then drive up to Munds park for the fireworks in the Rhino's???

No, parade at munds park and fireworks at Mormon Lake. It's a good time for the kiddo's for sure. You can camp between Mormon Lake and Munds Park and have the best of both world's.

That's where we will be camping. The road between the two is a nice little drive with plenty of side trails for riding. Last year, we drove into Mormon Lake and just so happened to catch the parade there too.

Where is that @? I usually camp about four past Mormon lake Lodge. If there is someplace better I'm down for it.

Working on the details but should be there. I have Friday and Monday off so I will head up Thursday night and not leave until monday noonish. Several of my group got stuck(rain, mud and large coaches) in our normal spot 2 weeks ago and are looking to camp somewhere else....drama. We may do Munds Park and ride over for the fireworks....I know I will be camped up there somewhere.

Brian, coming up Thurs night limits your camp spots, but there are many solid spots along Kinnikinick Lake Rd FS125, which isn't any further than your other spot. Also, Munds Park Rd FS240 has a big spot about 2 miles in on left from Mormon side. We've put 15 big rigs in there before and had room for more. A few friends have big fifth wheels they'll be pulling into RV dry camp at the Mormon lodge for $15 a night. It's convienent, you won't get stuck and you can watch the fireworks from your patio.
