Dual Amps

I want to hook up 2 amps to one ipod.

Right now I have a cord that has a stereo end that goes to the ipod then RCAs to the amp...but I want to install a second amp to run a sub....need some helpage

Get some RCA y-connectors and you will be good. This will give you one inlet and 2 outlets off of the RCA from the IPOD.

Yeah thats what I had thought would be the easiest.

Then I thought about using an electronic crossover so that I could separate the frequencies

if you did that then it will have the appropriate # of outputs for your amps or you could get an amp with a built in crossover and save a piece.

I already own the amps, so dont really want to spend that money again...can get a kicker 2 way crossover on Egay for like $69 this may solve my issue

I just got amps with built in x-overs and gains and the stereo sounds Badass. I no longer need 2 amps though since I took the subwoofer out to put the oil cooler under the seat.

With the X-over you could dial it in! I would go that route unless your amps already have them built in, then just do the rca splitter like Jimmy suggested.

cool so how does the oil cooler sound compare to the sub?
