Checkers won't take it back because I had it for 4 months. It's a PITA sitting there trying to get it to light up when all I want to do is get going.[/quote]

Buy a new one and take the old one back in its place in a few days.
Tell em its bad and want a refund.

Its probably the switch.......the switchs you can get from auto part stores are no water proof....need a water proof switch.

Yup. Same thing. I tore into it and found all the connections to be good. When it was open I tried it. There was kind of a sizzling or static sound coming from it every now and then. Sounded like a short on the circuit board. My guess is a bad capacitor or resistor but couldn't isolated it. It's hard to get at the guts of these things because the board and ballast are encased in some kind of silicone. I have a new light on the way and should be here tomorrow.

New light works like a charm. Wish I would have known how to wire relays when I put that bad one on. One good thing is I have each light on a separate relay and switch so when I want to add something else I will run both lights off of one relay and switch. I can use the other relay and switch for whatever I add in the future. Thanks for your help
