Compression test on a 660

Picked up a used engine for my 07 Rhino. Any idea what numbers i should be looking for on a compression test?Thanks

I heard there was a test sequence in the manual for checking compression with the decompression release intach, never checked into it....let us know...
660 2 seater rhino,bilstein shocks,programmable dynateck,camo plastics,two seater razor eater! camshaw stroker motor,Flow Design top end porting and custom matched cam,48 hsr,camshaw frame gusset kit and spindles and air cleaner assembly,cbr muffler,Hunterworks custom coated shimmed sheave with the original slippery washers(not the plastic copies)all kinds of custom stuff...

I just went throught this and scared the crap out of me @ 70 lbs. So I made some calls and found out to get the best result with a compression test and not a leak down test.

1 Make sure battery is fully charged.

2 Make sure you use a good tester not a Harbour Freight.

3 Push the throttle to the floor when cranking.

I ended up @ 130lbs up from 70 after making these changes which was a little low but my valves were extremely tight so after the valve adjustment I am positive it would read where it should. I do not know for sure but I believe the 660 should be around 185 lbs.
