Axle removal

Anyone have any links to video showing how to remove rear axles on a Rhino? Searched on you tube with no luck. I would like to see it done before attempting it on my own. Thanks.

It's easy. Remove tire. Then remove axle nut (you'll want a good impact for this). Remove bolt that holds lower a-arm to spindle (hub). Swing spindle up to allow for the cv at the wheel end to slip out. Grab axle and give it a sharp push in and then yank out.
Hardest part about it is the axle nut if you don't have a good impact. I have a cheap 300 ft/lbs impact and it wouldn't spin it off. Used my buddy's 760 ft/lb impact and it came off like butter. The axle nut has a spot that you cinch down to the axle with a chissel and hammer... it's a real pita to try and pry it out. That's why if you use a good impact, you don't have to

Unless you are replaceing the axle you can just remove the 2 bolts that hold the hub to the a arms and pull the axle out with the hub still connected.

My outer CV is clunking so I assume it's shot. I will need to have the entire axle out for that right??

Anyone know what size the axle nut is to remove the spindle on the rear?

So I go the axle out, very easy by the way thanks for the instruction. I also got the outer CV off, cleaned and inspected. I took a few pics. I suspect I will need an entire new outer cv joint, tell me what you think by the pics. Now my question is what one to buy? I don't race and have a stock motor so I don't need top of the line just a good CV that will last. Thanks again for the input.
Justin
