Belt Direction

Hey you all, just a quick question, i did my clutch kit today, when i took the belt off the arrows were pointing at the front of the machine. When i put it back together i put it back the way it was, facing the front. Now that im all done i checked the repair manual and its telling me the belt should be pointing to the rear. Is this going to cause problems? Thanks.

So should i just leave it till i change the belt next? or worry about it and pull it apart and change it to point to the rear?. Seemed to run fine. Thanks for your advise.

i was told that the way the belt was made that they were only meant to be run one direction. i ran one the wrong direction once and it did not last me very long.

I'l be purchasing parts in the States soon for repair-replacement on my 700 SE. When i read "clutch kit"...... is there a kit needed to change the belt , or just the belt itself? Much Thanks

Hey, no you dont need a kit to change the belt, the clutch kit just changes the way a rhino drives. You just need to remove the belt in order to change the clutching.

So i should pull this all back apart and change the belt to face the back? crap, was hoping to not have to pull this all apart till i needed to change the belt as it already has about 300 miles on it.
