installing gas gauge

AZ installing gas gauge

has any one installed the sending unit in the tank with out removing it from the rhino? there is still some gas in it. i thought i could drill it and suck what falls on top of the gas with a shop vack. what do you think.

Be careful with the shop vac, they create lots od static, static sparks would be bad. If you use a hole saw and just go almost through, you can cut the last little but with a razor knife.

X2. That's what I did. I used a hole saw and RIGHT before going all the way through, I put a screw in the middle to hold the plastic circle and used a utility knife to cut it the rest of the way off. Much cleaner that way. Got that tip off of here also.
