Drain lube. Yank one axle out (one will come out easier than the other usually, so got back and forth til one pops), knock the other one out from the other side. Unbolt the 3 bolts holding the diff, rotate it forward and the splines will pull out of the driveshaft (either at the motor side, or the diff side). Unhook the diff lock wire plugs, and drop it down!

Yeah, its pretty straight forward. Not much to mess up. Only problem you may encounter is having a hard time getting the axles out. Sometimes it takes a pretty hard yank!

Wild Earp - Thanks, this is good info to have. Changing my pinion seal tonight and I think it would be easier just to take the Diff completly out. (as hear on another thread post)

I would like to thank wildearp for the info. I yanked out my front diff in just a few hours. Super easy. I changed my pinion seal and axle seals and put everything back in.....This was good info to have.
Alot easier than I had planned!

The harder you yank it, the easier it will cum out.
