Self-Diagnosis Device???

Help.

Out plowing some snow tonight and my engine trouble warning light came on. The self-diagnosis device indicated the two digit error code - 42.

Any idea what this is referring to?

SELF-DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION TABLE
If the ECU detects an abnormal signal from a sensor while the vehicle is being driven, the ECU illuminates
the engine trouble warning light and provides the engine with alternate operating instructions
that are appropriate for the type of malfunction.
When an abnormal signal is received from a sensor, the ECU processes the specified values that
are programmed for each sensor in order to provide the engine with alternate operating instructions
that enable the engine to continue to operate or stop operating, depending on the conditions.

That is very comprehensive… thank you.
I have a performance ignition installed – think that might have something to do with it? Wiring perhaps become loose or not properly installed in the first place? Is the machine still OK to drive for a while?

Does anyone know how to clear codes on an 2009 700FI.

remove the fuse for the ignition let it sit 15 minutes.............greaseless od sliding weights..........
