Yup - I read on GD.com that there were 3 fatalities and multiple accidents.
I was out there and there were alot of people out there. At one point there were 5 aisle out in Olds and just stupid people hauling ass around camps - which is just stupid if you ask me! And the Rangers were out in full force going camp to camp and also going group to group out in olds to keep the crazies paranoid! LOL

I heard two of the fatalities were alcohol related including the rail that hit the 16 year old on her quad. Not sure about the 3rd fatality but there was something serious going on in a camp not too far from is Thursday night.

I think the bottom line is of you are taking your family out there, camp way out in the washes. It was too crazy from wash 6 forward. I heard Gecko was packed too.

Ditto - same reason I always think twice about going out there on holiday weekends cus of how crowded it gets and all the num-nuts riding around hauling ass everywhere.

Definitely lots of dumbasses out there this weekend. I was going down Olds the easy way with a group of 6 when this big orange sandrail wheelied across the hill and almost struck me

We were camped out at wash 12 and had no issues with people there

I never will take my family to Glamis or Gordons or Buttercup on the busy weekends - WAY too many weekend warriors fueled with booze trying to prove something.

We had two buddies who came over from Gordons to Glamis for the day on Saturday and said there 2 deaths over the weekend. Per capita, that is not very good odds compared to Glamis. Glamis is fine with Family as long as you camp past wash 10 on the busy weekends.

Buttercup is a blast for quads. It sucks for anything bigger.

I was there when that happened. First of all, why would you drive anything at night without headlights. I feel bad for the family and friends for these people. Most of these accidents are wrong place at the wrong time. When I ride at night, I go with two RZR's. We all have HID's and Light Bars. we usually stay very close to each other and Light up out path as we drive.

There are plenty of people out there, Sandrails, that come up over the hill at full speed. I have witness tons of near misses. I also know people, Sandrails, that drive very hard but are very cautious. It all depends on the individual.
