Wolverine 800 RZR Clone

I've heard all of the Chinese POS rhetoric and I'm not a fan of chinese stuff myself but there are a few good machines out now like the Kymcos for instance so save everybody's time if all you have to contribute is negative speculation.

I'm just wondering if anybody actually owns one or has seen one and can speak first hand about it ?

you know it sounds like a decent machine, vtwin not that inline polaris motor that fires both pistons at the same time and makes lame torque #s, so the vtwin will be a plus, the video shows alot of the chinese rhino parts on the product which is wise...these chinese after a few years will come up with a good product with the americans supervision and it might change things...

So here's the thing... Like I said I am not a big fan of these Chinese knockoffs but this to me would be a good template for a major manufacturer to look at. It's sort of a hybrid RZR/Rhino . It's narrower than a Rhino and a bit wider than a RZR. It has more cargo space than a RZR, a real parking brake and true 4wd lockers and 12.6" of ground clearance, EFI and it goes 75mph if you believe what it says.. It looks good and I like the cage design. So basically this is what I would consider ideal specs for what I do...

Looks pretty damn cool and the price is definetly right. If comes close to going 70 i think it would be a really good deal. You have to dump thousands into a rhino to get up to 60. I like the tires as well and the exuast looks way cool. I say pick one up and let us know how it goes. For that price you cant lose.

This is more what I was hoping the Commander would be or that Yamaha would come out with. I would really like to see this thing. The engine position seems to be somewhere between a RZR and Rhino. Further back but not in the rear wheel wells. I almost wonder if this is based on a design that Yamaha abandoned. Astonishing for that price... One of the vendors needs to get one or someone in Texas should see if they can find one to look at or even test ride.

FYI.....Kymco is NOT a mainland Chinese company. They are headquartered in Taiwan. I think the Taiwanese have a leg up on their mainland counterparts on providing products that meet typical western quality expectations. After all, they have been doing it for MANY years before their PRC competitors.

I own one! I just saw this post so I created an account. I originally was looking to buy a rhino but I diddnt have the money. Eventually I came across one of these in anchorage ak. So far it runs great!!!!! It's very fast and responsive, it will do every bit of 75mph! The suspension was wayyyy to stiff, the previous owner put walker Evans shocks on it, so o took the sway bars off and now it's just as smooth as my inlaws rhino! Parts are available, but some parts interchange with other machines. I'm currently running a renegade 800 belt. The engine looks like a copy of the can-am 800. If anybody got questions I'll do my best to answer them!

The Issues with Chinese stuff has been metalergy, fit and finish

fit and finish are easy for someone with a little savy to square away.
but metalurgy ... your stuck with so if the metal isn't up to task you gotta scrap stuff and replace with something else.

But things have changed in the past couple years!

It's crazy the quality coming out of China at the selling price, hard to compete when they got no minium wage laws Unions ,EPA health and safty regs.... ect.
