it helps very little.
the diff tip from gibson helps with power and gets rid of the fluttering sound. for any modded rhino motor, the gibson does not perform very well even with my mods to it. IMO it is better than the stocker with tip though. Rog

Becareful with the Gibson, i have broke my head bolts twice. I called Gibson and they have had other complaints as well, they paid to have the head fixed the first time, i had to pay the second time. now they have SS, Allen head bolts that are drilled and locked into place with safety wire. If i had anouther system this one would be in the trash.

I have a Gibson exhaust( I think I got it from Rog?) The muffler came modded with a hole Aprox 1" right through the middle. it was loud ! I reversed the mod and it was better but the muffler came apart. I pached it up only to have it go to crap again.
I kept the header I've read people were having problems with breaking studs so I used some beleville washers (they are a conical spring) 4 per stud. For a muffler I got a flowmaster 60 series made for sport compact cars(civics) grafted the gibson ball socket to the front of the flowmaster and made hangers it's quiet now and almost trouble free.... I've have had to replace the graphite doughnut 2x so far. Probably better exhaust out there but all things conciderd performance cost and noise I'm satisfied. |
