Painting plastic.

Ok I'm gonna try to pressure wash my camo off my plastic and then sand it down and carry it to a body shop and let them paint it for me. SO I THOUGHT. talked to shop earlier that said that paint wont stick to it. I asked what the difference in rhino plastic and bumper covers on every vehicle made today. He said even that paint cracks and chips when flexed. Any suggestions. I mentioned Krylon Fusion and he acted like he'd never heard of it. Can I have this stuff mixed in quarts?

My camo is too far gone to candy over it. it is chipping off really bad. That looks good though. Thinking of White to match my Z71 then putting a silver w/metal flake stripe in center of hood and dash panel.

I just pulled my hood off and put paint stripper gel on it. Let it set for 10 minutes and then pressure washed it. All the camo came off down to the base so now I will sand it tomorrow night and see if I have a good surface.

.

Man just do it yourself! 4-5 cans of Krylon Fusion is all you need. It's easy and fun and in about a week, you'll have the project done.

I did mine last season (from Red) and dont regret it. Cost me a whopping $40 bucks. I'll do it again this winter just cause I'd like to mix it up a bit.

Do a search for "Krylon Fusion for Plastic". Good luck...

You need to use bulldog adhesion promoter first then paint. Thats how any good body shop does bumper covers. You can get at auto paint shops.
