want to buy a utv, HELP!!

This question has probably been asked on here before but I want to buy a utv and want to know the good and bad about the rhino and the teryx, I wouldn't own a polaris.. I live ohio I ride (race quads and bikes, and have a offroad jeep) so my type of riding is trails hills and rocks , not much sand in my area, so what would be the best for me. I know this is a rhino site but try and be fair... Thanks for the help

by the way I have 2 buddies with rhinos 06, 08, and they love them, but I heard the kawi has the most power...

I would put my trust in the Rhino as they have been here for awhile and have the bugs worked out. Plus the aftermarket add-ons are geared more towards the Rhino than most other machines giving you a much wider choice for future mods.

I love my RHino.

IF were to buy new one this year, most likely the Kawi.

Better stock suspension and a little more rugged chassis. I think the power with minimal mods will be way greater over the 700 rhino.

Musicman is correct in that, there is way more stuff out for the rhino already, but with some patience, the kawi stuff is coming rapidly.

just my .02

What I don't like about the kawi is the hood doesn't open and all the electrical and battery is under the seat. Where we ride that would be a problem with creeks and water damage. I also don't care for carbs especially if u ride in the mtns and change altitude.

You know guys.....I have to throw in my 2 cents.

I had an 07 rhino and loved it. It lacked the power I desired, but I loved it otherwise. It never failed me and easily handled anything I tried to put it through.

Now I have the rotax 800 in my 06 rhino and all I can keep saying is wow! I have driven a RZR and teryx, and with mine being all stock aside from a Dalton clutch kit, none of the above mentioned vehicles is in the same league power-wise.

So if I had it to do all over again.....would I do the swap? I dont know for sure. Would I buy another rhino......or a teryx....or a RZR? I think if I HAD to choose one of those, I would surely go for the kawi. The price is right and it has a lot to offer.

i had a rhino 660 sold it for kawi. sold it and bought rhino 700 sport. i like best! kawi very hot inside (will burn your leg) no hood battery under seat in the water lots of noise in rearend & belt started slipn less than 10hrs. kawi says adjust belt every 20hrs f#*k that! sure it has more power but will it get you home???

i researched and checked out both rhino and teryx... teryx seemed like it was built cheaply, and they de-tuned the engine compared to the brute force- wtf! not to mention the power doesnt seem noticable over the rhino... the way the teryx is laid out design-wise (electrical included) was not appealing to me. the rhino won my vote hands-down, and i'm happy with my decision!

kawi has always been a good choice, when you buy one and take it out to put it to the test just make sure your friends with the rhino's are there to pull you out or give you a ride back to camp.!!!!!!!!
