Need an ignition or other wire to connect to that is only hot when the rhino is running. I have an isolator connected to an ignition wire that is hot when you turn the key on but, I want to change it. When you turn the key on the curcuit closes combining the 2 batteries prior to start. I want to change it, to close after it is running. Without having to put in a manual switch. Any idea if there is a igintion wire or any wire that is only hot after it starts? Don't want to take chance, again, of a low secondary battery trying to equalize and drain my starting battery.

I'm getting ready to order 3-4 gauges, like maybe tonight, and I was wondering if some have been more prone to damage from water than others? I know there are marine gauges out there but I'm hoping to stay under about $75 each on these things. I don't mud bog or do water crossing but I wash my Rhino a lot. Any suggestions on install or MFG less prone to damage?

I just traded my rhino for another and it's got a brp tach that was never hooked up. I wired it to the orange wire coming off the Dynatek cdi which was advised by a fellow forum member. Is there another wire I can try? The tach works but isn't smooth and sticks at certain points. Is this common? BRP has nothing for the 660 tach any where to be found. Now when I looked at the 700s install inst it stated the tach would not work with a dynatek ecu! Is this the same for the cdi? I mean it works just not like I thought. Searched most threads here about tachs and still haven't found the answer I'm looking for. Thanks

Was trying to get a friends 07 running last night, its been sitting for a few months. First the battery was completly dead so we hooked it to the battery charger and put it on start. Cranked fine and started but wouldnt stay running carb problem. Then all the sudden we lost the dash it quit coming on and now it won't do nothing. We put a good batt in it, checked all the fuses, and changed out the cdi still nothing. Could the dash have gone out or maybe the volt regulator? We were hitting it with some pretty high amps on the charger to try and get it running. Any help would be great.

Hey whats up. Went out in the shop tonight to fire up the rhino(been sitting for some time) and the battery was dead. I figured it just lost its charge from sitting, its just a cheap lawn mower battery.

So i get it jumped, started up and drove my wife and the little one around the property for a while. I noticed my gauges were flickering and my voltage gauge was only showing 8 volts or less driving around.

Shut it off and again, battery dead as a chunk. I junk it again and check the voltage across the terminals at idle, and came up with 6-7 volts at idle. But, if i turned the lights on, i got about 10 volts, override the fan to kick it on and i got about 12-13 volts at idle. But as soon as i give it any gas the voltage drops.

I put a new ricks stator in it about a year or so ago also.

Any ideas of what it could be?

I wouldnt think just a dead battery would have these symptoms. I would think the high output stator should still put out enough voltage to the battery at idle even with a dead battery.

Thank you
