...or point me to a really good link.

Im very familiar with a snowmobile type set up. But from what I read here they sound pretty different although they run off the same principle.

Whats the difference between wet and dry set up?

We have machined sheaves in sleds too, but I hear you cant run OD weights with them here, obviously this is a difference, as our weights are on the primary in the sleds.

Just curious to learn and truly understand my machine before I start making changes. I like to know why a particular change does what it does.

Here are some of my other toys, so as you can see.....I love fast stuff

Folks,

new to this forum.

I recently aquired an 04 660 race style (no bed) with a 686 big bore complete rebuild. Runs great jsut a little loud for my taste. Its a single DMC and I think its a slipon or?? The head pipe(s) look stock to me.

Is there a good performance exhaust system for 660's that are quieter than the race full flow systems without power loss?

Thanks in advance!

I had to go to DMV and register my toyhauler. I figured while I was there, I'd play dumb and try and have them register the Rhino. For those who don't know, NYS doesn't consider the Rhino an ATV because it it over 1000lbs. I went in with my cert of origin and my orignal paperwork from when I bought it in 2007. Everything was going swimingly until she put in the weight off the title into the computer. It wouldn't allow her to process it with the weight over 1000lbs. I played dumb and asked her if she could put the weight under 1000lbs and see if it would go through. She wouldn't do it. So I ended up going to a different DMV, without my Cert of Origin. I brought along a photo of the vin, and a declaration of ownership form. I put the weight on the reg. application as 990lbs. They clerk put it right through no problems and issued me a 1 year reg. and plate to mount on the rhino.

I'm going to go test it out this weekend up at Tug Hill and see if I have any problems.

Has anyone built an intake for the 660? I have a intake from a 250r thats pretty big and a couple from a 400ex. Wondering if it will make good velocity or could I use some exhaust pipe or pvc? Also, is a fcr41 a good power upgrade? I know i tshould give a lot of throttle response but would it increase power since its actually smaller than the stock one? Also, if I use one from a quad, can the stock choke be used?

I have about 2,300 miles on my Rhino 700 and I replaced all 5 sets of brake pads about 300 miles ago and yesterday the emergency brake stuck in the on position. I hit it with wd40 and was able was able to get the lever that the cable attaches to moving again but thinking back now there were some times recently went it felt like something was dragging. It also looks like my new pads are pretty worn and I'll have to put her up on the lift and adjust the ebrake again because it stopped holding now with the lever pulled all the way up. I didn't really lubricate anything when I did the replacement.

Will the Wd40 do the trick ? Anyone else have this issue or anyu suggestions ?
