2012 Rhino MSD Ignition and Fuel Managment

Hi all,

I'm new here and to forums in general and I hope that I posting this question in the right spot. So I have just purchased 2012 700 Rhino (my second Rhino) and I ordered the clutch sheave and MSD ignition and fuel management system. The sheave is installed and I gained 9 MPH. Then I received the MSD box and guess what??? Yamaha changed the connections for 2012!!!! So, I have been searching the net for days and cannot find any aftermarket company that is offering one for a 2012. Most companies don't even know that any changes have occurred. If anyone has any information on where I can locate a 2012 engine controller I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Chet

Like you I also purchased a 2012 Rhino a couple months ago. Soon found out MSD did not have a new model to fit the 2012. Contacted MSD and they replied that their may be an upgrade someday. I am not holding my breath.

hiker270, were you able to find one that would remove the rev limiter for the 2012?

Sorry, for the confusion regarding years. MSD does plan to make a model for the 2012 models, but unfortunately as we all know it will most likely be a while.

This was an email I got on 4/3/12....

Tim,
Unfortunately the connector is different on the 2012. Eventually we will have something for that but it won't until next year sometime.
Thanks,
Bret Kugler
