Welcome to the forums!. A small block of wood under the loud pedal. lol. don't know if a aftermarket cdi box limits speed control on the bottom end, maybe someone or a vendor on here will chime in about it.
OK! So MSD sound just great, but which modell is best for almost stock engine, and is there options for several maps in MSD, for example when I drive off road can I switch to "Fast" map and when I go back to Road can I switch back to "Slow" map??
If you buy a MSD off a shelf it will have preset settings from MSD that you can use to go as fast as your rhino will go and some for going slow. Some of the settings you won't use. If you buy an MSD from a vendor here, most likely they can set it up for mods you may get later on or at the same time you buy the MSD. Just in case you want to haul balls later.
I have this one I can give you a deal on. It does the same thing, just works different. With this one, you can call VDI and tell them what you have on your rhino and they send you a map and help you use it. This one give you two rhino settings to switch from. One you could have the speed limiter on and one to go fast. The MSD is a little bit easier to use but both will give the same end result for your stock rhino.
I have been looking through the threads and was wondering if somebody could advise me on the best way to get my stock 2012 Rhino 700 LE to get over the 40 MPH cutout. It's quite annoying as I had a stock 2010 Grizzly 550 that I could get to 52 MPH with no problem. I have read about changing the CDI and or changing the sheave. Any suggestions?

YOu can do either but the best bang for the buck is the sheave from us, gets you to 50mph plus lower lows, better acceleration and better midrange all at a lower price than the Power Commander you 12 would require, you can do both but you would be adding only about 3-4 more mph to it.
Try adding an Autotune O2 sensor to the MSD. Can you adjust the rev limiter up or down with the MSD? Does the MSD have a acceleration fuel pump? Can you add timed fuel cold/warm up? Can you swap maps on the fly with MSD? Can you tune the MSD with your cell phone, out on the trail, while driving? I've sold 1000's of pc5's, not a single failure. The PCV has so much more functionality than the MSD.
Technically you can have two sets of Ten maps on the PCV, the same say the Athena GET system does. This will be extremely important on the yxz. On the fly maps lets you add mpg (better miles per gallon) maps on your high performance maps on your Rhinos. Or traction maps on the steering wheel for the mud or rocky climbs, something you wouldn't want to leave the vehicle for. Didn't mention POD300 available for the PCV, full integrated programming, mounted to the dash. These tricks are usually only reserved to racers, but there is no reason why everyone can't have fun with them.
Yes sir, that's a map that limits wheel spin and allows high speed travel in slippery conditions. The details are proprietary, which we can discuss later. :hihi:
Ok this is why the common man don't like engineers!!! Too complicated, we like simple for our simple minds!!! LOL
Actually I know you can do a lot of that stuff with inputs from throttle sensor and speed sensor and program it to do almost anything you want, just don't find much of a need for it
Well, not everyone likes simple, people do like cool stuff.
Much of my experience is from racing and we have raced all over the whole world. Ty's won everything from Supercross to Baja 4x. And we have been factory teams for Yamaha, Kawasaki, ATK, Husqvarna and KTM. So it's not just that I am an engineer, it's that I come preprogrammed for creating state of the art.
I agree with you 100% looking at it from another view is what I am asking
Take a guy who knows nothing, not racing etc complicated does not work for him.
Last race I ran, before the race ever started I told Hunter, watch when they drop the green flag, we are going to look like were shot from a cannon, he said why. Because the guy next to us went complicated and does not appear to have the ability to make it all work. What I had on my XP 900 was all simple stuff with a Power Commander I might add and sure enough we shot out of there, never saw him again and actually passed everyone in every class, won fastest lap and won the race. We took a RZR, a 6x12 trailer and a gas can for a three hour race. They all had motorhomes, race trailers, tents, were adjusting shocks etc, hooking computers up etc. We ate burgers and watched!!!
Left with their trophy and money!!!
Complicated is good for sure if you can do it but from my view most people just want to open the box and plug it in and go
So while I agree with you, the reason I disagree on the other was for that reason.
I will never fault anyone for wanting to make it better just not for the masses is all.
Hope that make sense and I enjoy the debate without anyone getting upset.
If anyone wants the fancy add-ons, it will be available from Hunterworks. :hihi:
