msd on stock 08/700

This is a discussion on msd on stock 08/700 within the Engine forums, part of the Technical category; anyone have an idea what the msd would do for me on my 08/700... basically bone stock with a k&n filter. i plan further upgrades ...

It will basically remove the rev limiter if you are stock. You could tune with a wideband or use the supplied curves and mabye get a little more power by adjusting fuel and timing. I would get a clutch sheave as my first mod then get msd, cam, bored throttle body, then exhaust. Be aware that most aftermarket exhausts are loud and will attract attention if you ride in or near populated areas. They will allow you to make good power gains if you have the right supporting mods.

I have both the MSD and a grealess clutch kit for sale in the "parts for sale" here in this site. I had to sell my rhino. The greasless kit will make it go faster, the msd will help a bit more due to it taking away the rev limiter.
