Rhino Won't Run

Like a dumb ***I let the rhino sit all summer. I took it out last week and it will start and idle but when you give it gas it dies. I changed the fuel filter. I"m guessing one of the jets might be gummed up? I pulled the carb to try and take it apart to clean. I'm assuming pilot jet? Tried to pull the bowl off the bottom and two of the screws came out the other two stripped the phillips head instantly. So I sprayed a bunch of carb cleaner in it put it back together and it still doesn't run. Never got to the jets. Any clues?

Well you need to get to the jets. Use a vice grip on the stripped screws or grind a straight slot in them. Are you sure your pump is giving it ample fuel?

I pulled the fuel line to see how the flow was and it seamed like it had good flow. Whats the deal with the carb screws. They stripped easy. I'll have to take my dremel and grind a slot for a straight blade.

I would skip the dremel and get a small set of vice grips to take out the screws. The metal used to make those fastners is pretty soft and strips easily. Once you get all the screws out, replace them with socket head bolts, this way you will not have this problem again. Also while you replacing the screws on the bowl, put new ones on the vacuum diaphram on top of the carb as well.

Yeah they strip real easy. When you get them out, go to the hareware store and put allen heads back in.

Copy that on the screws. Does this sound like the problem? Gummed up jets from sitting?

What up Rog. This is Jason that bought the paddles off of you last year. Copy the jets. I 'll try and get those screws out and clean the jets. Thanks.

get all the bad gas out of tank also, crank motor with fuel line off carb to "rinse" the pump.
