Secondary clutch spring nut?

Rhino 700 EFI 09
What size is the secondary clutch spring nut that holds the
spring on, going to change out old spring for gold and want to
have all tools ready...

I think it's a 19??? Yamaha put loctite on that nut from the factory(09 model rhino's) and my Snap-On impact that would turn 650lb and the air compressor turned all the way up would not budge it a bit. I tried everything I knew to try and get it off and wouldn't work.
I had to get a chisel and cut a notch in it and hit the chisel with a small sledgehammer and cut the nut in half.

The nut to remove the actual spring is a 1-13/16". The nut to remove each sheave is a 22mm.

Oh. And like said above, a sub standard impact ain't gonna cut it (not that Snap-on is sub standard). My Ingersoll Rand takes them right off but my buddies cheap Craftsman wouldn't budge it.

My Harbor freight impact wrench worked great.

09 Rhino Sport 700:

Let us know what happens, but I have heard of at least 4 more 09 700's with the same problem.

I've had no problem getting the nut loose on the secondary sheave.
I do think they use locktight, If it's ever a problem heat will fix its attitude
A propane torch is suficiant heat whithout getting too hot and screwing up (anealing)the spring

Looks like he was, the nut for the sheave and secondary assembly is pretty common it's the one for the spring that not many guys will have laying around

Finally got some warm weather and changed secondary spring, no trouble at all, large nut came off very easy, used a half inch electric impact, while I was at it, I changed the primary to grease less OD.

I don't think it's necessary. The pressure from the spring will keep it from moving. Mine was a pain in the ass to take off as well, just an FYI...
