KEY IGNITION problem

When I start the rhino, and release the key to the RUN position, it sometimes, just SHUTS off everything and a little bit of jiggling it, it goes on and off randomly.

Is this a common problem with the ignition / key.

if I wiggle the wires right behind it, it goes on and off.

Thanks.

I had the same problem, with my 07, ordered a new key switch and problem was solved. The only thing was i never messed with the wires, it was all about messing with the key to make it work.. I bought my key from EBAY brand new with 2 keys for $30 shipped...

Anyone know any other ignition that might fit. From Grizzly's or even their SLED Line up.

Johnny, how fast could it be shipped to Canada - new brunswick to be exact.

Thanks.

Also, when I was trying to get the RHINO going out in the trail and wiggling the KEY, I got what sounded like an ALARM sound, when you turn on a ALARM to ARM it.

I don't have an alarm on the rhino.

A plaintive call for help....? That is a new one to me In a pinch, you could use a small jumper wire (alligator clips on both ends, Radio Shack, etc.) to bypass the ignition switch temporarily. Just don't forget to disconnect it, else you risk draining the battery.....

and what is that? I got a new ignition anyways, as I only had 1 key and it was more expensive in canada to get a second key than it was for me to order from utvcrap a new ignition with 2 keys.

I see you already have a replacement, but since you asked about an alternative, read this: ignition switch plug on harness.

This setup has been much more reliable for me and instead of a traditional key, I have a keyed battery disconnect...

I have a brand new ignition switch that I could probably part with - ordered it thinking I had a problem with it and ended up being my CDI. Was installed for maybe 5 minutes.
