I've done that also using a Painless fuseblock with relay. Each light is coming off its own power source from the relay.
I have the painless fuseblock with the relay. This relay is to control the circuits used when the ignition is on. you need to use a relay in between the fuse and the light. Youre on off switch will controll the relay and your relay will control the lights. I have a relay for each switch.
